Volunteers: Board and Committees

Recruitment post for Board of Directors – Spring 2023

Interested in joining the Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children Board of Directors? A working board opportunity for those who want to provide leadership in children’s rights in Canada!

The CCRC is looking for persons to be active participants in a working board that focuses on advancing the rights of children in Canada.  Our goal is to strengthen our organization in the areas of communication, fund-raising, policy, strategic planning, research and advocacy.  We are looking for diverse voices to reflect diverse communities of children across Canada.

If you would like to apply to be on the CCRC Board of Directors, please send an email outlining your interest in children’s rights and what you might be able to contribute as a board member, along with a copy of your CV by Friday, May 19, 2023. Applications can be sent to the nominations committee at: info@rightsofchildren.ca with cc to robynaaronm@gmail.com

Website/graphic design

The CCRC is looking for a volunteer to help us with our website upkeep, graphic design, and general maintenance of our online presence. If you have someone who may be interested, please let them know about this opportunity.

We are looking for someone who can commit to a one-year volunteer term, with the possibility for renewal. We don’t need this person to be an expert in children’s rights – we are happy if their expertise is in website maintenance and design! Open to high school or college students who need volunteer hours, or even potentially an internship. For more information, send an e-mail to news@rightsofchildren.ca.

The CCRC is looking for persons interested in volunteering to work on committees in the following areas:

  • policy and monitoring
  • communications and research
  • governance and membership

For more information, send an e-mail to news@rightsofchildren.ca.  We will try to match your interests and our needs to lead to a rewarding volunteer experience.

Webinar presentations

The CCRC runs a series of webinars in the spring and the fall focused on children’s rights. If you are interested in presenting, please send us an email: news@rightsofchildren.ca.
