Call for contributions to the “International Forum on the Rights of the Child” on the theme of “Access to Justice and the Rights of the Child: Local and Global Experiences”
The forum will take place on June 2-3, 2025 at Université de Moncton (hybrid event); it is open to individuals and organizations interested in children’s access to justice and aims to share innovative approaches, knowledge and evidence from research, practice and lived experiences.
Participants to the Forum will be consulted in anticipation of the organization of the “International Summer School on the Rights of the Child” (Université de Moncton, Office of the New Brunswick Child and Youth Advocate) in 2026 in a new format.
GRIDE invites abstract submissions from researchers, student-researchers, and speakers from across fields and disciplines. Abstracts must:
- include a short title with the name of the speaker(s) and affiliation(s);
- briefly present the issue or question being examined, the methodological approach and results, and indicate how the contribution sheds new light on the issues or practices related to children’s access to justice;
- be in English or French (250 words maximum in word format).
Only the most relevant proposals that contribute to the advancement of knowledge or practice and meet the above criteria will be considered.
Deadline: April 21, 2025; abstract submission via email to: [email protected]
You can access the call for proposals in English and French here
The Forum will take place alongside a satellite event titled: “Seeking Justice for Children: Canada’s Experience” organized by the Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children (CCRC), Justice for Children and Youth (JFCY), and the Research Group on the Rights of the Child (GRIDE), Université de Moncton in conjunction with the 5th World Congress on Justice with Children.
The program will be posted on the CCRC website in May with a registration link.
