As we approach the end of September, it becomes increasingly apparent that time is fleeting. Amid our daily routines, it’s easy to overlook upcoming events that may align with our values and keep us better informed on significant issues.
I would like to bring to your attention a webinar that should be noticed. On Wednesday, September 27th, the Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children is partnering with Cheyenne Stonechild and Murphy Battista to present Children at the Core: The Fight for Indigenous and Children’s Rights.
This webinar will focus on how class actions can be powerful tools for achieving justice and modifying behaviours across various governmental bodies in Canada. It will emphasize how the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) can better support children’s voices within these systems, such as Articles 8, 9, 20, 24, and 30.
Kindly mark your calendar and register as soon as possible for
Wednesday, September 27, at 11:00 AM (Pacific Standard Time)/ 2:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time).
