October CCRC newsletter

2021 marks the beginning of a global campaign to End Violence Against Children. This is but one of the Sustainable Development Goals that seeks to end all forms of violence against children by 2030. CCRC Board Member, Candace Amarante, has published a short fiction piece called "Us Wards" in the literary journal International Human Rights Art Festival Publishes. The story deals with violence and injustices inflicted on vulnerable, poor youths at the hands of ruthless diplomats with immunity. This is a segment of the population from which stories are rarely heard. Candace uses creative writing to participate in the global campaign to End Violence Against Children and to help spread awareness of their plight.
