Participate in Virtual Roundtables with Government & Young People Under the Age of 18

Invitation for Indigenous children and young people under the age of 18 to participate in virtual roundtables with government:

We invite Indigenous children/young people to consider participating in a virtual roundtable with government stakeholders on May 6 at 1:30pm. EST.

Session 3: May 6 at 1:30pm-3pm EST: Indigenous Children’s Rights

Who: Indigenous children and youth (up to age 21)

Purpose of the sessions is to inform the government of Canada about the experiences of rights holders, and in particular, the challenges that children face in realizing these rights. The discussions will be facilitated by a professional facilitator. Government stakeholders will attend sessions, listen to the participants, and hear what change is needed.

Honoraria per person is up to $100, including some pre-session prep work.

The session will include a child protection point person as we realize that we topics may be triggering for some participants.

The sessions will have English/French translation as well as CART services.
