After a summer and early fall election campaign, federal election 44 draws to a close.

Many people have already cast their ballots, but for those of you who are still deciding who to vote for, we hope you will think about children's rights as you go to the ballot box, including why we should lower the voting age, and how climate change represents a serious challenge to children's rights. Check out our previous posts on implementing the Truth and Reconciliation Recommendations and Child Care.

Children ages 17 and under are not able to vote in this (or any) election in Canada. The CCRC joins partners Justice for Children and Youth and the David Asper Centre for Human Rights in pursing a challenge of the current voting age laws.
