As we move into the warmer months, we continue to advocate for children's rights in Canada. Here are a few issues we are engaged in:

- Many mayoral candidates in Toronto supported the work of #Vote16 and the campaign to lower the voting age. One of these candidates, Olivia Chow, won the hard-fought election. Let's see what happens next!
- The CCRC and other civil society organizations were invited by government to a meeting in Halifax with Federal-Provincial-Territorial ministers on human rights. We were happy to have youth alongside us to present to officials on some of these important issues. See below for our thoughts and next steps.
- Stay tuned for the winning entries from this year's writing competition! We were blown away by the thoughtful and insightful pieces submitted by children from across the country. Winners will be announced soon.
